ROBERT HARDGRAVE: XENOGLOSSY
November 24 – December 22, 2007
OPENING RECEPTION: NOVEMBER 24th, 7-10pm
Channeling themes of life, death, and the gray spaces between, Hardgrave’s organic, multi-layered paintings appear as though they’ve been summoned from an alternate mystical dimension. The exhibition of new paintings on canvas, paper and panel takes an intruiging look at multi-dimensional life. “In this body of work I am attempting to relate my idea of the many possibilities of reincarnation,” Hardgrave explains. “Not necessarily in the sense that when one dies they become a wombat or a newt, but that life can continue in the memories of the living.”

I tried so hard to get to this opening… I ended up stranded in the middle of the freeway with some friends in Agoura Hills. I’ll make it to the show yet (somehow…), unfortunately I couldn’t get to the opening. Hope it went well for you.
Hey Robert, great work! I featured Communion on my site todayinart.com. Keep up the awesome work.
Your work is such an inspiration Robert!
